Alissa Stevens is an ecopreneur, “Star Wars” nerd and relentlessly positive champion for radical transformation. For her, sustainability is an opportunity to mobilize communities and have everyone win and thrive. It’s about providing opportunities for people to have more of what they love and crave while transforming the health of our planet and people.
Alissa enables organizations to drive their sustainability impact mission forward. For six years, she has shifted consumer mindsets and created meaningful stakeholder dialogues for companies such as Sustainable Brands, Activision and Fully Equipped through platforms and global campaigns. “Get Real” is her passion for the planet personified, a platform that allows consumers and eco leaders around the globe to connect anywhere anytime.
She’s not a scientist or a 30-year veteran in the field—yet. So why should you listen to her? Because she knows what it’s like to feel intimidated, confused, angry, powerless and even resigned about the state of our world. She offers a fresh, practical take on the biggest issues of our time and makes them accessible to you—no complicated science or eco jargon—complete with actions you can take to realize big impact as an eco leader in your daily life.
Alissa raises awareness of circularity and builds partners to shift human behavior and reduce waste with a focus on food, fashion and consumer goods sectors. A published writer for Sustainable Brands, she has created national buzz around the ROI of sustainable business in the food and agriculture sectors. She promotes conscious consumerism of millennials in Los Angeles as Head of Strategy for REVAMP Upcycle Fashion Lab.
As Founder of an experiential learning platform to shift mindsets, Gallon Challenge USA, Alissa increased environmental awareness, reduced water use of 70 participants, and received an award for Education & Outreach from the South Bay Business Environmental Coalition.
Giving back to communities, Alissa reduced crime and transformed the self-esteem of 1,000 underprivileged youths in Baja, Mexico, Darfur and Los Angeles with Fully Equipped, a non-profit creating circularity with kids’ sports uniforms and equipment.
She is bilingual in Spanish and holds a BA in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University, where she spent a semester in Spain and met with the Croatian Ambassador to the European Union in Brussels to discuss geopolitical and economic impacts of joining the EU.
When not saving the planet and our communities, Alissa can be found on the soccer field in Los Angeles or planning her next international adventure.
